Jasdeep Badhan as a Poet & Artist

Jasdeep Badhan is Journalist by profession, ace Punjabi Poet by birth and an avid Social Worker by choice.He is currently the Chief Editor of a trilingual English,Hindi & Punjabi Language Weekley Newspaper Punjab Junction (Print and e-paper) bearing PUNMUL 01200 and Proprietor of Badhan Publishers. Jasdeep Badhan is the youngest youth of the country to be conferred with the highest Youth Award of the country  for his selfless service to the society entitled National Youth Award in 2007 in Chennai by Mr Mani Shankar Iyyer ,Central Minister for Youth & Sports .He has also been  conferred with State Award entitled Shaheede Aazam Bhagat Singh State Youth Award by Punjab Government in 2006 for his notable and immense contribution in the field of social service in the state.                                       

Jasdeep Badhan began his journey into the world of poetry and knowledge while he was studying in Doaba College, Jalandhar-Punjab.During his college days there Jasdeep Badhan consistently strived to achieve a miles stone in the field of poetry by writing poems in Punjabi on social issues with his revolutionary thoughts.He soon emerged as a social thinker in his home city Jalandhar and soon came to the forefront  in the state of Punjab.During his college days Jasdeep Badhan participated for many years in the poetical symposium event in  the literary team category in Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar Zonal and Final Boys Youth Festival and won first and second positions consecutively and he was awarded Guru Nanak Dev University Colour  in 2004 for winning maximum poetical symposiums trophies .His natural ability to write turned him into a publisher at a young age . Jasdeep Badhan setup Badhan Publishers to exhibit his natural inborn flair for poetry to the world.Under the banner of Badhan Publishers Jasdeep Badhan published his maiden book of poems in Punjabi Ik Dariya Hor (One More River) in 2004, Sach De Roobru ( Face to Face with Truth) a book of poems in 2005, Jago in 2005 a book of poems, Ik Dariya Hor  Part 2 (One More River) a book of poems in 2006, Paigaam( Message) in 2007, Zindagi ( Life) in 2007, edited a book of poems entitled Wattano Door (Away from Native land) in 2010, edited a book of Indian classical Music entitled Bhartiya Shastriya Sangeet Ke Utthaan Mein Harivallabh Sangeet Samellan Ka Yogdaan in 2009, and Mein Aj Vi Mirza Han (I’m Still a Mirza) a book of poems in 2011.In addition to these excellent books Jasdeep Badhan has also delivered radio talks as a social activist,writer and poet on several social issues in My FM Dil SE and All India Radio between 2005 to 2011.The State Government of Punjab conferred the title and an award of State Poet of Punjab on Jasdeep Badhan in the year ……recognizing his immense talent and contribution in poetry . One of his memorable achievement is that an International Competition of Poetry was organised by Prof. Mohan Singh Memorial Foundation (Regd) in year….. to improve the Indo-Pak realations in which poets of both the countries participated and recited their poems on the relation between two countries.Jasdeep Badhan bagged first position and won accolades and hearts of the Pakistani Poets.
